ABSTRACT AND PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

General Information

  • Each concurrent session will be allocated 30 minutes, i.e. 20 minutes for brief introduction and paper presentation, and 10 minutes for question & answer period.

  • Presentation equipment (overhead projector, laser pointer, desktop PC with Power Point, In-focus) will be provided by the Organizing Committee.

  • Deadline for submission of abstracts, speaker's resume and passport size color photograph is Monday, June 10, 2002.

  • Confirmation of abstracts approved will be given by Saturday, June 15, 2002 at the latest.

  • Deadline for submission of full text (MS Word) of paper is July 5, 2002.

  • English is the official language of the conference. Assistance, where needed, will be provided by the Organizing Committee.

  • Submission is by E-mail to wace2002@dppk.org or directly to the Asia Pacific Regional Conference on Cooperative Education Secretariat:

ABSTRACT AND PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURES

  1. The abstract / paper must be submitted in English.

  2. The abstract must be accompanied by completing the on-line Registration Form.

  3. The Abstract / paper must relate to one of sub-themes, i.e.

    1. How can Coop be the right vehicle for developing World Class People?

    2. How can digital opportunity contribute to Co-op development in the developing countries?

    3. Enhance University-Industry partnership through successful Co-op implementation.

    4. International Co-op as a means to develop global training.

  4. Abstract must be type in single spacing on A4 (21 cm x 29.7 cm) format using 12 point font Arial typeface and must not exceed  one page (Approximately 250 words). Margin on the sides, top and bottom should be 2.5 cm.

  5. The full text of the paper should be a maximum of 20 pages including graphs and illustrations.

  6. The abstracts / paper must include the title or topic of the presentation, and the names, titles and organization(s) of the author / co-author(s).

  7. Abstract should be submitted in both paper copy or by E-mail. Text submitted, or E-mail attachment should be in standard   Microsoft Word / Office 2000 format.

Confirmation

  • Faxed copies of abstract will not be accepted.

  • The presenter will be informed as soon as the Abstract  has been approved by the Organizing Committee.

  • A 25% discount on the conference registration fee will then be afforded to the presenter.

  • The Organizing Committee reserves the right to include the abstract and or paper in any publication of the conference.
